India's top-ranked men's singles player HS Prannoy pulled off a remarkable victory against World No. 2, Indonesia's Anthony Ginting, in the quarter finals of the Australian Open tournament.
Despite a challenging start with a 16-21 loss in the first game, Prannoy displayed sheer determination and skill, making a stunning comeback in the next two games, and winning 21-17, 21-14 to leave the badminton world in awe of his performance.
In the much-anticipated semis, Prannoy will be facing his compatriot, Priyanshu Rajawat, who showcased a dominating performance of his own. Priyanshu cruised to victory against former World No. 1 and fellow Indian shuttler, Kidambi Srikanth, in straight games with an impressive scoreline of 21-13, 21-8.
