The headquarters of Paris Olympics organizers were searched on Tuesday as part of an investigation into suspected corruption, as stated by the national financial prosecutor's office in France.
The Paris organising committee confirmed the ongoing search at their headquarters in Saint-Denis and stated that they are fully cooperating with the investigators to support their inquiries. No further comments were provided by the committee.
This marks the third consecutive Summer Games organiser that is being investigated for corruption. Previous allegations of vote-buying were connected to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Games, resulting in the removal of several members of the International Olympic Committee from their positions.
