LeBron James has extended his association with Los Angeles Lakers in a new two-year deal. According to the new contract, LeBron will be paid $97.1 million through to the 2024-25 season.
With $532 million in guaranteed earnings over the course of his career, 37-year-old James became the highest-paid player in terms of salary in NBA history. He has eclipsed Brooklyn Nets star, Kevin Durant.

The new contract includes a player option for the 2024-25 season, which will allow the 18-time All-stars player to opt out of the contract in the final year if he no longer wants to stay with the team.
Despite James' average of 30.3 points, the Lakers had a disastrous 2022 campaign as they failed to make it to the playoffs.
