Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Bajrang Punia took to Instagram late at night to highlight how Delhi Police was pressurising them to end the protest.
The wrestler who is at the forefront of the protest, in a live video, accused Delhi Police of cutting off the electricity and ration supplies at Jantar Mantar. He further claimed that they had barricaded the protest site and asked the wrestlers to end the protest after 2 FIRs were registered against the former WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Punia said, 'I have spoken to the ACP, he said, 'do whatever you can, we won't let water or food in', you can see the pressure that is being put on us. when the entire country is in our support this is what the police is doing'
The accusation came right after it was confirmed that the police has filed 2 FIRs against Singh who has been accused of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation by 7 women wrestlers.
