Indian ace Tennis player Sania Mirza has confirmed her plan to retire at the WTA 1000 slated to be held in February in Dubai.

The former doubles no. 1 who had earlier decided to retire after completing the 2022 season had to delay her plan after she suffered an elbow injury that ruled her out of last year's US Open.

Australian Open will be her final appearance at the Grand Slams where the 6-time major champion will be participating alongside Kazakhastan's Anna Danilina.

While speaking to Curly Tales Middle East, The 36-year-old who is also struggling with a persistent calf issue said, 'my body is beat and that's the main reason for it And I really don't have the capacity in my mind to push for it anymore'
