23 times Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, and 7-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton have joined Martin Broughton's bid to buy Premier League club, Chelsea. It is one of the three offers that Roman Abramovich, the club's Russian owner is considering. The other 2 offers are being made by Todd Boehly, the part-owner of LA Dodgers, and Steve Pagliuca the co-owner of Boston Celtics.

Williams and Hamilton have reportedly pledged £20 million in the bid for over £200 million. The former Liverpool FC and British Airways chairman, Broughton's bid partners also include World Athletics President, Sebastian Coe, the owner of the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team, Josh Harris, and David Blitzer.
A spokesperson for Hamilton has confirmed the development.
The former World no.1 Tennis star Serena Williams is also an investor in the Los Angeles' Angel City FC, the team plays in the National Women's Soccer League.
