Swiss maestro Roger Federer bid farewell to his professional tennis career on Friday night at the age of 41.
Federer's last dance was an emotional affair, with his teammates, opponents, family and fans around him breaking down at the O2 Arena in London.
20-time grand slam champion Federer alongside Rafael Nadal lost his final doubles match at the Laver Cup. But the highlight of the night was the camaraderie between the two tennis stalwarts.
It was as if the world had stopped to shed a tear for one of its dearest artists was bidding goodbye to the sport. While Federer couldn't hold back his tears, those around him struggled to do so as well.

In spite of being each other's biggest opponent over the years, Federer's last match made even Nadal emotional as the Spaniard broke into tears after the Swiss great's retirement.
While bidding farewell to Federer, Marin Cilic wrote on Twitter -- Humble in victory, gracious in defeat. You will be missed.
Meanwhile, Stefanos Tsitsipas shared the final moments video on Twitter and wrote this moment would not have been possible if Roger didn't give him the opportunity to dream.
