Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Ravi Dahiya knocked out of Asian Games trials by Atish Todkar

In a huge upset, Olympic silver medallist Ravi Dahiya got knocked out of the Asian Games trials by unheralded Atish Todkar at the Indira Gandhi Stadium.

Todkar, who hails from Maharashtra pinned the elite wrestler, which otherwise is a rare sight and went on to defeat Dahiya 20-8 in the pulsating 57 kg bout. 

Dahiya who was one of the strongest medal contenders in the upcoming Games has not competed this year after suffering Anterior Cruciate Ligament and Medial Collateral Ligament injuries in his right knee.
