Defending champion Naomi Osaka suffered a huge upset in round 3 of the Australian Open as she went down 6-4, 3-6, 6-7 against her unseeded American opponent Amanda Anisimova.
Japanese tennis star Osaka won the first set 6-4 but lost two set points in the second and lost the game 3-6.
Osaka was on the verge to seal the round-of-16 clash with Ashleigh Barty with two game points in hand during the final game but 20-year-old Anisimova saved both and then converted her first opportunity in the deciding super tiebreak with an ace to seal the match.
She will next face top seed Ashleigh Barty in the last 16.
