Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek advanced to the semifinals of the Australian Open after a hard-fought 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 win over Estonian Kaia Kanepi on Wednesday.
After losing the first set, Swiatek came from behind and battled the brutal Melbourne heat to win the second set in a tie-breaker.
Then, 2020 French Open champion Swiatek showed some incredible defence on her second match point and sealed the three-hour contest as Kanepi sent a backhand wide.
Swiatek will play against America's Danielle Collins in the semifinal on Thursday.
