World No.5 Rafael Nadal advanced to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open on Sunday after beating Adrian Mannarino of France 7-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Nadal, who has dropped just 1 set so far in 4 games, played an intense first set tie-break and took more than 28 minutes to win it 7-6. The Spaniard was ruthless in the following 2 sets and won them convincingly.
Nadal will take on Denis Shapovalov, who beat Alexander Zverev to book a place in the last 16. Nadal has won the Australian Open just once in his career, which was way back in 2009.
