With the Asian Games now underway, our focus shifts to the biggest medal prospects for the nation.
India's grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa who finished as the runner-up in the recent Chess World Cup, and will be participating in the Hangzhou games in the team event, surely are one of the biggest medal hopes for India at the Asiad.
In an exclusive conversation with Vikram Chandra for the India Story, Praggnanandhaa spoke about his team's medal hopes in the major tournament.
He said, "I am playing in the team event. So, it's definitely one of the strongest (teams), maybe the strongest actually. So, we have a very good chance of getting a medal and if we're (playing) really well, we can have a good chance of a gold medal."
