Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina came from one set behind to win her maiden grand slam title as she defeated Tunisia's Ons Jabeur 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the Wimbledon women's singles final on Saturday.

23-year-old Rybakina is the first Kazakishtani woman to win a grand slam title.

The Kazakhstani player failed to get her rhythm going in the first set, losing it 3-6. However, she outwitted Jabeur in the next two sets and became the youngest female player to win a Wimbledon title since 2015.

Rybakina was born in Moscow but moved to Kazakhstan in 2018 after the country offered her funding.
