Novak Djokovic & Rafael Nadal will be on the opposite sides of the draw in Wimbledon 2022 as the two tennis stars were awarded the top two seeds respectively in absence of Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev.

Defending champion, Djokovic who recently lost his World No. 1 rankings will head into the Wimbledon 2022 as a top seed, followed by Rafael Nadal on No. 2.

While the 26-year-old Medvedev who replaced Djokovic as World No. 1 will not play in The Championship after the organisers ruled a ban on the Russian players because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Germany's Zverev will miss the tournament due to an ankle injury he sustained during the French Open.

Rafael Nadal who was crowned the French Open champion for the 14th time, earlier this year can now only meet Djokovic in the Wimbledon final.

While the Spaniard will look to win his 23rd Slam, Djokovic is aiming to close in on his rival with the 21st Grand Slam.
