Indian ace tennis star Sania Mirza and Croatia's Mate Pavic reached the Wimbledon semi-finals after beating the fourth-seeded pairing of Gabriela Dabrowski and John Peers in a hard-fought match on Monday.
The sixth seeds defeated the Canadian-Australian pair 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
Sania Mirza had never reached Wimbledon's mixed doubles semi-finals prior to this. This was the best-mixed doubles performance for Mirza and Pavic at the All England Club.
The 35-year-old Indian had reached the mixed doubles quarter-finals at the All England Club in 2011, 2013 & 2015.
Former doubles world No. 1 Mirza, who earlier in the year announced that this would be her final season also took part in the women's doubles event at this year's Wimbledon with Czech partner Lucie Hradecka but lost in the opening round.
Sania will be hoping to finish her last Wimbledon with the ultimate prize but before having a shot at glory, a tough semi-final clash awaits.
