World Boxing Championship: Nikhat Zareen, Nitu Ghanghas & Saweety Boora enter semis

Reigning world champion Nikhat Zareen beat her opponent from Thailand to enter the World Boxing Championship semi-finals in the 50 kg category on Wednesday. 

The 26-year-old outpunched her opponent with the final verdict of a 5-2 split decision.

Apart from her, Commonwealth Games champion Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora also assured India of medals in the 48kg and 81kg categories respectively at the ongoing event in New Delhi.

However, Sakshi Choudhary (52kg) and last edition's bronze medallist Manisha Moun (57kg), failed to reach the last-four stage.
