Renowned lawyer and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal, who represented protest wrestlers in the Supreme Court, predicted that BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh would not be arrested and Delhi Police would file and wishy-washy chargesheet against the former WFI chief.
Amid the news of wrestlers Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia & Vinesh Phogat meeting Home Minister Amit Shah, Sibal said in a tweet that Brijbhushan would get the bail on the back of wishy-washy chargesheet and then the government will say the matter is sub-judice.
Wrestlers have been demanding the arrest of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh since January 2023.
