While the dreams of a billion Indians were shattered yet again on the world stage on Thursday, Ajay Jadeja, a former Indian cricketer, had a bitter take on India's embarrassing exit from the T20 World Cup 2022 after a 10-wicket defeat in the semifinal.

The talks of experimenting with the playing XI and providing ample rest to the senior players and the captain did not please Jadeja who remarked, 'Ghar ka 1 hi buzurg hona chahiye, 7 hojaengey to bhi dikkat hai' after the loss against England. Jadeja's taunt hinted at the multiple captains that the Indian team had since the start of 2022.

Calling out the skipper for not being available for Team India all throughout, Jadeja said, 'We didn't see him making the sort of moves India had prepared for, for the entire year. Maybe this point will pinch Rohit Sharma. If a captain is to make a team, you have to stay with the team throughout. For how many series throughout was Rohit Sharma with Team India? Even the coach of the team isn't going with the team, how will the team develop?'

Since the debacle in T20 World Cup 2022, BCCI appointed Rohit Sharma Team India's captain. However, India had as many as 7 captains across formats in the calendar year - Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah captained the Test side at some point this year. Shikhar Dhawan & KL Rahul led the ODI sides while Rishabh Pant & Hardik Pandya too were in charge of the Men in Blue in the shortest format.

All this happened while Rohit Sharma was made captain in all three formats after Kohli decided to step down after the South Africa Test series.
