Former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir feels that the Indian batting contingent should not just try to see off Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi and instead have an aggressive approach towards the pacer.
With India set to take Pakistan on October 23, Gambhir thinks adopting an aggressive outlook towards Pakistan's spearhead will help Team India score some extra runs in their World cup encounter.
Afridi, who will be making a return after a long injury layoff, was the destructor-in-chief against India at the last World Cup in the UAE. And according to Gambhir, attacking Afridi will be India's best defense against the left-arm pacer.
"When it comes to Shaheen Afridi, don't look to survive. Look to score runs from him. Because the moment you look to survive, everything becomes really small." said Gautam Gambhir.
The 40-year-old feels that India's top 4 have enough quality to unsettle Shaheen Afridi.
