ICC T20 World Cup 2022 : Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will face off in their ICC T20 World Cup 2022 opener on Sunday.
However, with the weather predictions on the day expecting some rain, there might be some delay before the fans get to witness one of the best cricketing rivalries in action.
While the batting looks assured with a set combination, there's still no surety on how India will line up in the bowling department. Not just the pace battery but even the combination of spinners remains a mystery for the outside world.
India will also be hoping their bowlers can keep the pair of Babar Azam & Mohd Rizwan silent on the day, for they are the backbone for the Men in Green.
The return of Pakistan spearhead Shaheen Afridi could make things hard for the Indian batters in the opening stages of the game too. However, the Indian batters have looked in form in recent matches and will be looking to attack Pakistan from the first ball itself.
While India have a fully fit squad at their disposal, the same can't be said for Pakistan who are sweating over batter Shan Masood's fitness after he suffered a head injury in the nets recently.
Rohit Sharma's men who were beaten by Pakistan in the last T20 World Cup in the UAE will also be looking for payback this time around.

After three days of continuous rains, the rains finally stopped a day before the game, but there still are predictions of some downpours on matchday.
