Ireland may have lost their last game of the T20 World Cup 2022 against New Zealand but Joshua Little made sure that they bowed out on an impressive note.
The left-arm pacer who finished with an impressive spell of 3-22 became the second Irishman to achieve the feat in T20Is. Interestingly, Ireland is the only team in the Men’s T20 World Cup history to produce two hat-tricks. Earlier, Curtis Campher took 3 in 3 in 2021.
In the 19th over, Little removed captain Kane Williamson, Jimmy Neesham and Mitchell Santner in successive deliveries to pick the 2nd hat-trick of this T20 World Cup after UAE's Karthik Meiyappan got the honours in the qualifying phase of the tournament.
Little who is also a net bowler for Chennai Super Kings is now the 6th bowler to get a hattrick in the history of the T20 World Cup.
