Wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik will be a doubtful starter for Team India's match in T20 World Cup after sustaining a back injury during the South Africa game.
Rishabh Pant could replace the senior wicket-keeper batter if he is unable to get fit before the Bangladesh game, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
However, while talking to PTI, a BCCI official said that the medical team is working to get Karthik fit and it is unwise to rule him out as of now.

If Karthik fails to get fit on time then Pant's inclusion in the team could come as a blessing in disguise given the southpaw has a tremendous record in Australia.
Also, Karthik, India's designated finisher, failed to make any impression in three matches so far. He has scored 1 and 6 in the two innings in the ongoing T20 World Cup.
