Virat Kohli on Monday added yet another feather to an already illustrious cap as the Indian batter bagged the ICC men's player of the month award for October 2022.
Virat shrugged off competition from Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza and South African batter David Miller to win the award.
The 34-year-old acknowledged the other nominees for their brilliant performances in the past month and also thanked his team for the continuous support. Virat also mentioned that he was honoured to receive the award and that it felt really special.
This is the ex-skipper's first ever Player of the Month award after he scored 205 runs in the month of October.
'King Kohli's' form helped India finish the group stage at the number 1 spot, helping the Men in Blue win 4 of their 5 group games. Virat recently surpassed Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene to become the highest run getter in T20 World Cup history.
