Namibia are out of the T20 World Cup!
The African nation lost a close game against the UAE to finish third in their group, with Sri Lanka & Netherlands qualifying at their expense.
Having won the toss, opener Muhammad Wasim hit an all-important fifty for the UAE side. With captain CP Rizwan too finally coming to the party with an unbeaten 43, the team from the middle east finished with 148 on the board.
In reply, Namibia's Top 6 failed to put up any sort of fight. In fact, they had lost half their side with just 46 runs on the board.
At 69/7, the game looked done & dusted before the experienced David Wiese rose to the challenge. He put together a 70-run stand for the 8th wicket with Ruben Trumpelmann - a partnership that threatened to take the game away from UAE.
Wiese's departure for 55 though brought curtains down on Namibia's chances, with their 7-run defeat bringing an end to their T20 World Cup campaign, despite their win against Asian Champions Sri Lanka earlier.
