Mohammed Shami wasn't a part of the main squad ahead of the T20 World Cup. There were concerns over his fitness after missing the T20 series vs Australia and South Africa due to Covid-19.
But just 1 over by the pacer in India's 1st warm-up game vs Australia buried all those concerns.
Chasing a 187-run target, the Aussies were cruising and at one stage looked good to finish off the game with ease. With 11 required off the last over, Rohit Sharma suddenly called in Shami to bowl.
The fast bowler not only helped India win but nailed yorkers at will. He gave away just 4 runs in the final over as Australia lost 4 wickets off the last 4 deliveries, with Shami picking 3 of those.
And just like that, 1 over wiped off most of the concerns this Indian bowling unit had ahead of the mega event.
