Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh steered India to a brilliant 7-wicket victory against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Women's T20 World Cup on Sunday.
Chasing 150 runs, opener Shafali Verma gave the Women in Blue a decent start with her 33 runs after which India lost their skipper Harmanpreet Kaur cheaply on 16.
However, Top knocks from Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh, propelled India to a seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Group B match in the end.
Earlier, Pakistan skipper Bismah Maroof (68*) and Ayesha Naseem (43*) helped Pakistan put up a respectable total of 149 runs on the board after Indian bowlers had jolted Pakistan early on, reducing them to 68/4 in 12.1 overs.
India are still unbeaten against Pakistan in the World Cups.
