After an innings of fluctuating fortunes, Bangladesh set India a target of 257, having opted to bat first in Pune.
The openers, Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das provided the Tigers with a great platform, putting together a 93-run partnership.
However, the spinners got India right back into the game and derailed Bangladesh's chances of putting up a big total. While Hasan scored 51, Das top-scored with 66.
Bangladesh kept losing regular wickets thereafter, but Mahmudullah's 36-ball 46 ensured the Tigers went past the 250-run mark at the MCA stadium.
For India, Jadeja, Siraj and Bumrah finished with 2 wickets apiece.
