GT VS DC IPL 2022 Highlights, Gujarat vs Delhi Match 10 Highlights:
New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson scalped four wickets for 28 runs in a stunning display of pace and accuracy after Shubman Gill's imperious 84 to help Gujarat Titans beat Delhi Capitals by 14 runs and register their second consecutive win in their maiden IPL season here on Saturday.
Ferguson, who was bought for a whopping Rs 10 crore in the IPL auction, dismissed dangerous opener Prithvi Shaw (10), Mandeep Singh (18), captain Rishabh Pant (43 off 29 balls) and Axar Patel (8) to rock the DC's run chase of 172.
Veteran pacer Mohammed Shami (2/30) chipped in with two late wickets to hand DC, who finished on 157 for nine, their first defeat in the tournament.
Titans captain Hardik Pandya got his first wicket as he dismissed DC opener Tim Seifert (3) while Rashid Khan (1/30) also chipped in with the scalp of Shardul Thakur.
It was not the best of starts for DC as they lost opener Seifert in the second over. Ferguson then rocked DC's innings with two wickets in the fifth over -- Shaw and Mandeep -- as the Titans found themselves in the ascendency.
But DC captain Pant and Lalit Yadav (25), who had played a major role in DC's win in their previous match, revived the chase with a 61-run stand off 6.5 overs for the fourth wicket.
Lalit was run out in a dramatic fashion in the 12th over. Off a throw by Abhinav Manohar at the bowler's end, one bail had gone off early due to Vijay Shankar's foot being in contact with the stumps.
Shankar dislodged the other bail off as Lalit dived at full stretch. Pant had a discussion with the umpires, but Lalit had to trudge off.
Young opener Shubman Gill struck an imperious 84 off just 46 balls to power Gujarat Titans to 171 for six in their Indian Premier League match against Delhi Capitals at MCA Stadium.
Gill, who struck six boundaries and four sixes during his stunning innings, and captain Hardik Pandya (31) revived the Titans innings with a 65-run partnership for the third wicket as they lost Matthew Wade (1) and Vijay Shankar (13) cheaply after being asked to bat.
Gill and Hardik denied the DC bowlers any success for 7.5 overs while adding 65 runs during that crucial period after the Titans were 44 for two in the seventh over. Hardik took time to settle down but just when he got into his grooves, he got out, hitting straight to Powell at long-on off the bowling of Ahmed. The Titans captain struck four boundaries during his 27-ball knock.
David Miller and Rahul Tewatia contributed unbeaten 20 and 14 respectively.
Earlier DC captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and elected to bowl first against Gujarat Titans at MCA Stadium in Pune.
Gujarat have made no change in their Playing XI as they stuck to their winning combination from the previous match. Delhi, on the other hand, made only one change in their Playing XI, bringing in Mustafizur Rahman for Indian pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti.

Here's what Deep Dasgupta said during pitch report
A fresh pitch will be used today and it is on the corner of the square, making one boundary side big. The turf looks almost same as the one used in the last game. Lot of grass and it looks firm.
With a strong top-order batting, besides a well-balanced bowling unit, the Capitals have all the tools required to embark on a winning run early on in the competition, so they certainly start as favourites against Titans.
Besides, the fact that DC managed to overcome the Mumbai challenge without a few key players, including flamboyant Australian all-rounder David Warner and Mitchell Marsh and South African duo of Ngidi and Anrich Nortje, only adds to their confidence and makes the win more praiseworthy.
The win against LSG first up is definitely a huge confidence booster, but in Delhi Capitals, Titans face a more seasoned opponents, who have established themselves as one of the top sides in recent years, with their swashbuckling batter-keeper Rishabh Pant as the leader on the field and Australian legend Ricky Ponting guiding them from behind the scene.
Injury-plagued DC will gain strength further in both bowling and batting, with the likely inclusion of Lungi Ngidi, Mustafizur Rahman and Sarfaraz Khan, who have completed their three-day quarantine.
The trio's return will bolster the Delhi outfit against an opponent that gave enough indications of its ability to not just compete with the best but also pull off the result it desires. In their five-wicket defeat, K L Rahul's Lucknow Super Giants came to know what the Titans are capable of.
So irrespective of the four-wicket victory over five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their tournament opener, DC know it too well that they just cannot afford to take the foot off the pedal.
The winners of their season openers, Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals will face each other in the 10th match of the Indian Premier League on Saturday at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
While Gujarat came out on top in the clash of the new teams vs Lucknow Super Giants, it will be an uphill task from here on for the Hadik Pandya-led side. In the presence of Mohammad Shami, Rashid khan and Lockie Fergusson, the debut team has a potent bowling line-up, but they lack power in their batting department which almost cost them their first match against Lucknow Super Giants. The team is likely go ahead with the winning combination against Delhi. READ MORE
