IPL 2022, SRH Vs LSG 2022 Highlights: Another loss for Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL 2022 campaign as Avesh Khan powered Lucknow to a brilliant 12-run win on Monday in the match 12th of the 15th edition of the cash-rich league.
Avesh Khan who began an early exploit with the ball picked 4 wickets as he hurt SRH's decent going chase badly. Apart from him, Krunal Pandya picked 2, and Jason Holder got 3 wickets. Rahul Tripathi was their highest scorer with 44 off 30 balls. Nicholas Pooran and Washington Sundar too played crucial innings of 34 off 24 and 18 off 14 but failed to make it to the finish line.
Earlier, KL Rahul led Lucknow Super Giants set a decent 170 run target for Sunrisers Hyderabad despite losing quick wickets at the beginning of the game. KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda took charge of the game when Lucknow was struggling at 27/3 in the 5th over. Both together turned the game around as they scored 68 in 50 balls and 51 off 33 respectively before being removed by T Natrajan and Romario Shephard. In the end, Ayush Badoni who lost his wicket on the penultimate ball added 19 off 11.
Kane Williamson's side began on a strong note though, they plucked 3 wickets in the first 5 overs. While Washington Sundar sent back Quinton de Kock and Evin Lewis, Romario Shephard took Manish Pandey's wicket after he scored a six and a four.
Kane Williamson's Sunrisers Hyderabad had won the toss and elected to bowl first.
