IPL 2022, SRH vs RR Highlights : Rajasthan Royals(RR) registered their first win of the season as their star-studded side defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) by 61 runs in a lopsided game on Tuesday evening. Kane Williamson's line-up failed to impress as the top-order only contributed 11 runs. Aiden Markram and Washington Sundar fought late to make it 149/7 in 20 overs for their team.
While Prasidh Krishna hurt Hyderabad early by plucking out their skipper in the 2nd over and Rahul Tripathi in the following one, Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult did the rest.
Chahal removed RomarioRomario Shepherd, Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad, Boult got Nicholas Pooran's wicket. SRH struggled to put together 50 runs until the 13th over.
Earlier, Skipper Sanju Samson led from the front as Rajasthan posted a 211 run target for Kane Williamson's led side in the fifth match of IPL 2022. Shimron Hetmeyer in the end added a quick 32 off 13 that helped the team reach the 200 mark.
Samson with his superb half-century thrashed the Hyderabad bowlers. Romario Shephard and Umran Malik in the beginning got big wickets. They sent back Yashasvi after he posted 20 off 16 and Buttler who played a crucial knock of 35 in 28 balls.
Kane Williamson had won the toss and decided to field first.
