Sputnik V Covid vaccine to be available in India from May

Russian Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V will be available in India from May. In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Deepak Sapra, the CEO of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, said that the first batch of the vaccine will be imported from Russia. Thereafter, the supply will be ramped up as the Indian manufacturers will start delivering. He added that six manufacturing units have been selected for producing the vaccine in India. Dr Reddy's expect to deliver enough doses to vaccinate 12 to 13 crore people in India within 2021.
