In a bid to provide a boost to the tourism industry in Sri Lanka, authorities announced that they will livestream from its wildlife parks. Tourism in Sri Lanka, which accounts for 5% of its GDP, has suffered a major blow due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

To showcase the island nation's exotic wildlife, livestreaming will initially begin at four national parks, the government's Tourism Promotion Bueau stated.

The project will offer eight streaming sessions of an hour each, which will be telecast through various social media platforms.
