Keir Starmer is set to become Britain's next Prime Minister after his Labour Party surged towards a landslide majority in the parliamentary elections.

Out of power since 2010, the Labour Party's manifesto includes a commitment to pursue a 'new strategic partnership' with India. This indicates that, after years of strained relations, the UK's Labour Party has decided to 'reset' its ties with India.

Keir Starmer, the party's leader, made this announcement at the India Business Global Forum in London last year.

In an exclusive interview with Vikram Chandra in June 2023, Starmer discussed what resetting ties with India entails and explained why the Labour Party is reaching out to India.

Here are snippets from the exclusive interview.
