BJP leader Subramanian Swamy held a meeting with the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at TMC general secretary Abhishek Bannerjee’s residence in Delhi on Wednesday and told reporters ‘I was already with Mamta, there is no need for me to join the party’
On Tuesday, Swamy was in Kolkata, where he also met West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Subramanian Swamy, who was dropped from the BJP’s national executive committee last month, has praised the TMC supremo on many occasions in the past.
Recently Swamy criticised the Centre over its denial of a nod to the West Bengal CM to visit Rome to attend a global peace conference in October.
On Tuesday, the TMC inducted former Congress leaders Ashok Tanwar, Kirti Azad, and former JD(U) MP Pavan Varma as part of its push to register a national presence.
