Suryakumar Yadav has been asked to stay with Team India for the Test series against New Zealand. According to a report in the Times of India, Suryakumar Yadav was asked to travel with India's Test squad from Kolkata to Kanpur after the completion of the T20 series which India won 3-0.
The 1st Test vs New Zealand is in Kanpur and starts on Thursday as the Mumbai cricketer is expected to get a call-up in the longest format of the game. Yadav was part of the squad that played Tests vs England in June this year but didn't get to play a game.

The 31-year-old has made a pretty impressive start to his career with free-flowing runs in T20s and ODIs for the Men in Blue. In domestic cricket, Suryakumar has featured in 77 first-class matches and scored 5,356 runs at an average of 44, including 14 hundreds and 26 fifties.
