South Africa defeated Sri Lanka by 4 wickets in a close Super 12 contest of the T20 World Cup at Sharjah stadium on Saturday.
South Africa won the toss and decided to attack the Sri Lankan batters right from the start. Dwaine Pretorius and Tabraiz Shamsi plundered the side by taking a total of 6 wickets together. With wickets falling at regular intervals around him, Pathum Nissanka played a brave knock. With his 72 off 58, the Lankan opener managed to put up a 143 run target.

In reply, South Africa's lacklustre performance strengthened Sri Lanka's chances of winning the match. However, a power-packed knock by David Miller helped Temba Bavuma's side register the thrilling win. Miller who smashed 2 sixes in the last over scored an unbeaten 23 off 15.
