After almost a month of fighting, the World T20 finale stage is all set for the Trans-Tasman rivals to lock horns for their maiden T20 World Cup on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium. With only one match lost, the neighbours defied all the odds to meet each other in the final game. While New Zealand won the tough semifinal against England, the fiery Australian side also turned the game on its head as they showed title contenders Pakistan the door.

As far as the head-to-head stats are concerned, Australia has the upper hand. In all the 14 T20I meetings, the Kangaroos have won 9 times. However, both teams have met each other only once on the T20 World Cup stage and New Zealand who are playing their first-ever World T20 final won it.
Although Australia has a great record in the ODI World Cups, the T20 trophy has eluded the nation for a long time now.
It will be interesting to watch if Aaron Finch's men can repeat history or will the Kiwis successfully avenge the 2015 World Cup loss.
