India had never lost a World Cup game to Pakistan but the law of averages finally got to the Men in Blue on Sunday. Babar Azam's men thrashed India by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2021 opener, as India's 12-match winning streak in all World Cup games came to an end.
Put into bat, Shaheen Shah Afridi rocked India by removing Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul with just 6 runs on the board. Virat Kohli dug deep and helped India finish at 151/7 with a gritty 57. It proved to be the completely different wicket when Pakistan came out to bat.
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan tamed Indian bowlers with an unbeaten 152-run stand as the Men in Green won a T20 game with 10 wickets in hand for the first time.
