Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has called out David Warner for his, 'pathetic display of the spirit of the game' during Australia's win over Pakistan in the World T20 semifinals on Thursday.
Gambhir raised the issue over former Aussie skipper hitting a six on Mohammad Hafeez's double bounce delivery in the 8th over during Australia's chase. Calling it shameful, the former Indian opener wrote on Twitter, 'What an absolutely pathetic display of the spirit of the game?'

He also tagged R Ashwin in the post who got into bad light after he dismissed Joss Buttler via Makadding on the nonstriking end in the Indian Premier League a few seasons ago. Responding to his post, the senior bowler said that 'if this is right, that was also right and if this is wrong that was also wrong'.
In response, a lot of Australian as well as Indian cricket fans dismissed Gambhir's claim and called the act within the laws of the game.
