Virat Kohli on Saturday slammed the online trolls calling them a "bunch of spineless people" after Mohammad Shami was subjected to online abuse on several social media platforms post India's defeat against Pakistan in the ongoing T20 World Cup.
The 31-year-old Shami became the prime target even though the team's skipper admitted that his team was 'outplayed' in the match. Shami was targeted by online trolls, on the basis of his religion and his loyalty towards Indian cricket. Virat said that this is the lowest level of the human form, attacking an individual over religion. He also mentioned that the team doesn't pay heed to such hideousness and their brotherhood cannot be shaken.
However, support from across the globe poured in for the team's prime bowler.
