As part of Unlock 4, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort are all set to welcome tourists from the 21st of September.
The mausoleum and the fort closed for visitors in March in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The opening comes with strict guidelines issued by the government including social distancing measures and regular sanitisation of hands.
Ticket counters will no longer be open and tickets must be purchased online. Wearing a mask inside the premises is mandatory.
There will also be a cap on the number of visitors allowed each day. This includes 5,000 tourists everyday in the Taj Mahal and 2,500 at the Agra Fort.
