Teams participating in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League have expressed interest in playing some competitive warm-up games against each other before the start of the tournament on 19th September. According to a report in the Times of India, teams want to play as it will help them switch to tournament mode after 5 months of no match practice due to the Covid-19 pandemic. All 7 teams apart from Chennai Super Kings have started practising in their bio-secure bubble in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The report also says that broadcaster Star is in agreement with the team as it would like to telecast some warm-up matches before the tournament starts.
