The Unique Identification Authority of India has rolled out a new AI security mechanism for Aadhaar-based fingerprint authentication and faster detection of spoofing attempts.
This new two-factor authentication is designed to add additional checks to verify the authenticity of the fingerprint, thereby reducing potential spoofing attempts.
The mechanism is designed to be of great use in banking, telecom, government, and Aadhaar-enabled payment system sectors.
The Unique Identification Authority of India is in contact with user agencies to facilitate switching to this new secure authentication mode.
