Apple is facing a big backlash for its incredibly low trade-in values, even for its top tier products.
A well-known YouTuber started the Twitter storm when he tweeted that Apple only gave $970 in trade-in credit for a Mac Pro setup that it still sells for a whopping $52,199.
Apple gives a list of projected trade-in values for its Mac series on its US website, claiming up to $670 for the MacBook Pro and up to $1,250 for the Mac Pro.
The company recently updated its MacBook Pro lineup with its latest high-end silicon: M2 Pro and M2 Max. Both chipsets come with superior CPU and GPU performance as well as improved power efficiency.
Both the 14-inch and 16-inch 2023 MacBook Pro models are already up for sale in India at a starting price of ₹1.99 lakh.
