Flying cars have been a long-standing part of the public imagination, and it may soon become a reality with the debut of Aska's A5 at CES 2023.

The A5, which costs $789,000, has a range of 250 miles on a single charge and can fly at a maximum speed of 150 mph.

Aska hopes to begin a ride-sharing service with the A5 in 2026 and sees the car as a solution for long commutes, allowing people to live in more affordable communities farther from cities and own fewer traditional vehicles.

A $5,000 deposit can be placed to get on the preorder list, and aska expects the FAA's approval for the A5 could come within a month.
