The new Sony ULT Tower 10 is a premium speaker delivering earth-shaking bass, and priced at a whopping ₹1,09,990.

When I hooked this bad boy up to my phone, blasted some Coke Studio ("Tu Jhoom" to be exact) and when that bass kicked in... Whoah. Mind. Blown. Like, literally speechless. I had no idea speakers could hit this hard!
The speaker packs a serious punch with a woofer up front, followed by dual mid-range drivers, and not two, but four tweeters, two in the front and two in the back.
Basically, the bass thunders through you, which, let’s be honest, most of us here in India absolutely love.
The vocals cut through crystal clear, and the treble holds its own, although there are moments when the bass tends to overshadow them.
But let me break down the sound modes to explain that a bit better. There are two settings to tweak your listening experience - ULT 1 and ULT 2. In ULT 1, the bass is amplified to another level, really pushing the low-pass range.
This is great for bass heads, but it can sometimes overpower the vocals. Switch over to ULT 2, and you’ll notice an increase in clarity especially in the mids, and the volume gets a significant boost too.
My preference leans towards ULT 1 for that deep, immersive bass. But here’s a fair warning, this speaker is loud. And if you have a small to mid-sized room, then this might be much for you.
Due to its intense volume capabilities, the ULT Tower 10 becomes remarkably loud even at just 30% volume. I also tested it at 50% volume, and it was overwhelmingly powerful.
So, who is ULT Tower 10 designed for? If you have a spacious outdoor area, such as a poolside, a large lawn, or a farmhouse, the ULT Tower 10 will truly excel.
The speaker is quite hefty, weighing in at 29 kg. You'll definitely need at least two people to lift it. However, the included wheels do add some portability.
The speaker also sports a plastic body with a metal grill overlay, giving it a robust build quality. It’s also rated IPX4 for splash resistance, making it a feasible option for those pool parties.
It stands tall at 43 inches, and up top, you’ll find touch controls for adjusting settings like key, echo, volume, and lighting. There are also two physical buttons for power ON/OFF and switching between ULT modes.
If you open the top flap on the console, you can connect your guitar or microphone there. One interesting feature of the speaker is that the console includes a designated space where you can place your phone or tablet.
However, the console is a fingerprint magnet, so keep that cloth handy. On the sides, there are two mic holders, and around the back, another flap conceals the USB port, optical in, and audio jack.
And of course you can't ignore those RGB lighting. It syncs with music perfectly and you also get floor lighting in this that’s like a cherry on top.
You’ll also get a wireless microphone included perfect for those karaoke nights or you can chase your dream to become a singer one day just like me. The speaker also has Bluetooth 5.2 and supports SBC, AAC & LDAC Codecs.
And to take the party to the next level, there's the Sony music center app. It's basically your command center for the speaker.
You can use it to fine-tune the sound with a custom EQ, control what's playing from your phone or other devices, and even link up multiple Sony speakers for a crazy sound system. Plus, you can mess with the trippy lighting modes the app lets you control them too.
The Sony ULT Tower 10 is designed for those who want to make a statement with their audio. It’s not cheap but it is loud, clear and a whole lot of fun.
