Samsung has started rolling out a software update to its Galaxy Buds 2 Pro which will enable them to capture 360-degree sound while shooting video using a microphone in each earbud. This feature will only work with a Galaxy phone running One UI 5.0 or above with Bluetooth Low-Energy support, such as the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4, and upcoming Galaxy smartphones.
360 Audio Recording is the first feature in Samsung's Galaxy line to take advantage of LE audio. With this technology, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro's left and right mics combine at the same time to create an immersive and realistic sound when users will record a video. To use this feature, users will need to install the latest software versions for their Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and activate 360 Audio Recording in the Samsung Camera app under Camera Settings.
The 360 Audio Recording feature is rolling out to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 starting today, January 13th.
