At its I/O 2023, Google showcased a version of its search engine with integrated generative AI.
The generative AI can create brand new content, using past data, such as fully formed text, images and software code.
Cathy Edwards, the company's vice president, said Google is working to employ generative AI to reduce steps for consumers making decisions and to enable people to ask more creative and diverse questions.
US consumers will soon be able to join the waitlist to gain access to the new Google Search.
