India's digital advances are moving in leaps and bounds and the latest evidence the report on IPV6 adoption where India is top of the chart.
IPv6 is the latest version of the Internet Protocol and addresses the shortfall of IP addresses available under IPv4. It has significant efficiency and security advantages in identifying devices across the internet so they can be located.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar,Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology tweeted a report proudly highlighting India's lead.
As per the report hyperlinked in the tweet, 77.48% of Internet users in India have adopted IPV6, vs 64% in Belgium who ranks 2nd and miles ahead of the 55.06% users in United States (ranked 11).
The large boost for IPV6 comes from India's largest telecom network, Jio. As per reports Mukesh Ambani backed Jio tops the world IPV6 network adoption charts with more than 93% users on the platform.
