In a new blog post, the anonymous leaker Lanzuk reported that Apple “decided to freeze the launch price of the iPhone 14 base model through a decision at the top executive level.” Given Lanzuk's track record, this may very well be true.

A lot of Apple leaks have previously indicated that iPhone 14 variants are becoming more expensive this year.

Lanzuk argues that Apple's decision was based on “global mobile phone market stagnation and demand decline... so the price of the basic model is frozen despite some price increase factors.”

If accurate, Lanzuk's allegation would mean the iPhone 14 remains its $799 price tag (rather than increasing to $899), which raises hopes that the forthcoming iPhone 14 Max/Plus would be priced $100 less at $899.

Given Apple's goal to expand the feature and performance difference between iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro versions, these prices seem reasonable.

In addition, the leaker's assertion still amounts to a $100 price rise across the board. This is due to the fact that the $799 iPhone 14 will replace the $699 iPhone 13 Mini as the base model, while the $899 iPhone 14 Max will replace the $799 iPhone 13.

However, this report only reflects iPhone 14's price in the USA. We currently have no details about its expected India price.
